5.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for Matchouse to work. They may be used for login and authentication, account security, fraud prevention, payment security, session management, load balancing, cookie consent storage, platform functionality, access to secure areas, and preventing abuse or spam.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because they are needed to provide the service requested by the user. They cannot usually be switched off without affecting platform functionality.

5.2 Preference Cookies

Preference cookies help remember your choices, such as language preferences, location preferences, saved settings, display preferences, cookie banner choices, recently used filters, dashboard preferences, and app or website layout preferences.

Some preference cookies may be essential where needed to provide a requested service. Others may require consent depending on how they are used.

5.3 Analytics and Performance Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with Matchouse. They may collect information such as pages visited, features used, clicks, searches, time spent on pages, error messages, device type, browser type, referring pages, general location, and session behaviour.

We use this information to improve Matchouse, fix errors, understand user needs, improve listings, improve search, improve lead systems, and improve Bloc.

Analytics cookies are non-essential and require consent unless a legal exemption applies. The ICO requires clear information and valid consent for non-essential cookies.

5.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

Marketing cookies may be used to measure advertising performance, track campaign effectiveness, understand referral sources, show relevant ads, limit repeated ads, build marketing audiences, measure conversions, and support social media campaigns. These cookies may be placed by Matchouse or third-party advertising platforms.

Marketing and advertising cookies are non-essential and will only be used where consent has been given.

5.5 Functional and Personalisation Cookies

Functional cookies may help us provide enhanced experiences, such as remembering saved searches, remembering recently viewed listings, improving recommendations, supporting profile suggestions, supporting service or property preferences, supporting personalised dashboards, and improving user navigation.

Some personalisation cookies may require consent depending on their purpose and whether they are necessary to provide a requested service.

5.6 Security and Fraud Prevention Cookies

Security cookies help us protect Matchouse and users. They may be used to detect suspicious login activity, prevent account takeover, prevent fake accounts, detect spam, prevent scam activity, protect payment flows, detect automated misuse, and prevent abuse of leads, Credits, subscriptions, refunds, and messaging.

Some security cookies may be strictly necessary and do not require consent.

5.7 Payment and Subscription Cookies

Payment-related cookies may be used by Matchouse or payment providers to process payments, support subscriptions, detect payment fraud, prevent duplicate payments, manage checkout security, support payment authentication, process refunds, and maintain payment session integrity.

These cookies may be strictly necessary where required to complete a payment or protect payment security.

Bloc may use cookies and similar technologies for agency workspace login, role and permission management, CRM session security, user preferences, dashboard settings, audit logs, communication tools, integration security, usage analytics, error monitoring, product improvement, and fraud and abuse prevention.

Some Bloc cookies are necessary for secure software operation. Others, such as analytics or product usage tracking, may require consent where applicable.

7Consent

When required by law, Matchouse will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

Consent must be a clear, positive action. Continuing to browse without a clear action is not enough for valid consent. Valid consent must involve a clear affirmative action and cannot be shown simply by including cookie information in a hard-to-find privacy policy.

Our cookie banner or preference centre may allow you to accept all non-essential cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, manage cookie categories, change your preferences, and withdraw consent.

Non-essential cookies will not be placed unless consent has been given, unless a valid legal exemption applies.

8Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can manage your cookie choices through the Matchouse cookie banner, the Matchouse cookie preference centre, your browser settings, your device settings, or app settings where available.

You can usually block, delete, or restrict cookies through your browser.

Blocking necessary cookies may affect how Matchouse works. Some features may not function properly without required cookies.

9Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time through our cookie preference centre. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of cookie use before consent was withdrawn.

After consent is withdrawn, Matchouse will stop using non-essential cookies where technically possible, but some cookies may remain on your device until they expire or are deleted from your browser.

Where cookies involve personal data, we process that data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.

UK GDPR may apply where cookie data can identify or be linked to an individual. PECR applies to storing or accessing information on a user's device.

Matchouse may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with home pages, search pages, property listings, service listings, provider profiles, booking tools, service request forms, lead tools, Wallet features, subscription pages, Bloc tools, help pages, and marketing pages.

Analytics helps us improve usability, performance, matching, conversion, lead relevance, fraud prevention, and platform stability.

13Advertising and Social Media

Matchouse may use advertising and social media technologies to measure campaigns, understand referral sources, promote Matchouse, retarget users where permitted, build audiences where lawful, measure conversion events, and improve marketing performance.

These cookies may be set by advertising networks or social media platforms.

Matchouse may include embedded content such as videos, maps, social media content, forms, chat widgets, or third-party tools. Embedded content may set third-party cookies or similar technologies.

Where possible, Matchouse avoids loading non-essential embedded content before consent is given.

If Matchouse offers a mobile app, similar technologies may be used in the app, including SDKs, device identifiers, push notification tokens, app analytics tools, crash reporting tools, fraud prevention tools, and local storage.

Where required, consent or permission may be requested through app settings, device settings, or in-app notices.
